Orca Embroidery Pattern

Paisley Whale Hand Embroidery Pattern - a DIY pattern for contemporary and modern embroidery.

  • this pattern fits an 8 inch hoop, but could be scaled up or down to match any size
  • suitable for beginners

This is a PDF download only, so you will need to source fabric, embroidery thread, needles, an embroidery hoop, and dressmaker's carbon paper or Solvy paper (all easy to find online and elsewhere if you don't have them at home already). Please make sure that you have a PDF reader (e.g. Adobe Acrobat), and access to a printer.

A present for a begginner!

I chose this pattern as a present for a friend, who is beginning to stitch. It's really beautiful and yet not too difficult so she won't be frustrated. The stitiches are detailled in Sammy's explanations and she can find extra tips on Sammy's website.

Incredible pattern!

Used this pattern on a sweatshirt for my boyfriend’s Christmas present and so delighted with how it turned out! Thank you so much for the gorgeous pattern- he’s obsessed with orcas so it was absolutely perfect
