Are you more of an ‘in-person’ learner? I am… and this is why Paraffle isn’t just online! We run frequent workshops where you can join Sammy in our Edinburgh studio to get some hands-on experience with embroidery, learn new stitches with personalised and practical support, or simply practice your skills in a friendly and approachable setting!

Sammy started these workshops because the world is becoming increasingly disconnected: we want to provide a physical space to join crafters together. Crafting is a great way to socialise with a cup of tea and a good chit chat!

Workshops are where creativity meets community. They can be booked as a group or an individual place: either way you can be confident that you’ll find some friendly crafters!

We believe that crafting brings people together. It gives you the chance to build new relationships around a common interest, which can extend into deeper friendships. Crafting together sparks creativity - seeing new ways of doing things from people from all walks of life.

Crafting is for anyone: it’s an inclusive hobby joining people from all backgrounds and lifestyles. We’ve witnessed some wonderful friendships bloom between people who would otherwise have never met!

These workshops provide an experience which is tailored to your personal ability and goals, providing support for any specific areas you’d like to improve. To maintain this customised experience, we’ve limited spaces to 5 per group. These tend to fill up pretty fast, so if there aren’t any dates available below you can join our mailing list to be notified as soon as spaces become available.
