Paraffle, old Scots: 1) an extravagant display; or 2) embroidery.
You can see how we chose the name for this gloriously floral kit!
This 6 inch wildflower design includes a fun range of stitches to practice your embroidery skills - and finishes as a wonderful, timeless bouquet for display. There's even some unusual 3D embroidery elements thrown in to, to create the draping blue amaranth flowers: gorgeous!
This kit contains everything you need to complete the full project, including organic, ethically made fabric, DMC thread, a wooden embroidery hoop, and a needle. There's also a detailed instruction booklet with photos of each step of the project and guidance on how to do each stitch, to help you along the way.
Sammy's Note: I found this a totally joyful design to stitch. There's so much variation in colours, stitches, and textures that I never got bored of doing one technique. The 3D elements (made with macrame knots, but with embroidery thread) were a new challenge for me - but once I'd had the idea, I simply had to try it out!
