Paraffle Note: I was lucky enough to visit a May Morris exhibition in Edinburgh's Dovecote Studios a few years ago - and this design is inspired by that visit! May Morris was head embroiderer in her father William Morris' design company, Morris & Co., a social reformer, and she campaigned for women's representation in the arts - so of course, I fell in love with her work!

Orange Tree

As with the Rabbit I purchased, I appreciated being able to simply buy the pattern. I mentioned in my Rabbit review that I liked raised embroidery and I plan to use that technique on this pattern to add interest to the tree. Again it will be completed at my Chatty Crafters group. Sadly, I have not yet started work on it.

Disappointed

I was excited to receive this kit, however my excitement soon changed to disappointment & annoyance.

The reason being that the black fabrics is tough to sew, needle struggles to cope with the fabric- as someone who has been doing kits for years , first time I have encountered such awful materials.

Will not be able to recommend to my sewing / craft friends.

Romantic orange tree

Very satisfying make. Haven't decided what to do with it yet so it's hanging on the wall awaiting inspiration but it's lovely
