Gold Plated Stork Embroidery Scissors

These are sandblasted & gold-plated - the sand-blasting gives them a 'matte' look and feel, compared to the glossier feel from non-sandblasted metal.

The stork design is a timeless embroidery scissors design - rumour has it that stork scissors were first made because midwives would embroider whilst awaiting delivery, and used the same pair of scissors to cut their thread as they did the umbilical cord!

9cm in length - That's the full length from tip of scissors to the base of the handles.

Made in Premana, Lombardy, Italy. Premana has iron ore mines nearby, and they've made steel scissors and other metal tools there for hundreds of years.
