These are made in Seki City, Japan - a city renowned for it's tool craftmanship. The company that makes them (Hasegawa cutlery) has made cutlery and scissors since 1933, so they know a thing or two about making scissors that are sharp and stay sharp. And these scissors are sharp - they cut thread so easily!

They come with a genuine leather case for convenient portability, and each pair is adorned with a beautiful silk tassel, made by Tassel Studio in Chikugo City - a company that specialises in delicate handiwork.

Both practical and stylish, they make for an excellent gift, and because they're so small (The blades are 8mm in length and the whole pair of scissors is 35mm in length), can be carried in your hand luggage when flying.
